The Jellyfish Swim Lesson Program
Our MCC Jellyfish Swim Lesson Program is an opportunity for our little swimmers to become familiar with the water and on their way to a safer pool experience. Our goal is to introduce your swimmer to freestyle and backstroke as they get stronger in the water
GENERAL INFORMATION
• AGE REQUIREMENT- The Jellyfish program ranges from 4-5 yr olds (age 4 by 5/31) but swimmers must be potty trained and out of swim diapers.
• LESSONS - Jellyfish swim lessons will begin the first Tuesday after Memorial Day (May 26th) through the end of the regular swim team season (approximately four weeks of lessons).
• DATES AND TIMES - Jellyfish practices are 30-minute lessons between 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. running Monday - Friday (unless noted).
• ATTIRE - our Jellyfish swimmers can wear whatever swimsuit is comfortable. The MCC swim team suit is not required.
• SWIM MEETS - Jellyfish do not participate in the swim meets.
• COST - MCC Club Member $175 ($10 Sibling Discount), Non-Member $185 per swimmer (availability is first offered to club members for both Jellyfish and Swim Team)
• Private swim lessons are available to club members for swimmers age 2 - 5 through our swim team coaches after Memorial Day. Our coaches will help you coordinate a day/time. ALL swimmers must be potty trained and out of swim diapers per club policy. Email [email protected] for more info
Member-Guest Policy for Non-Member Friends
MCC welcomes non-members as sponsored guests of MCC members for both swim team and our Jellyfish swim lessons. As in previous years, non-members will be able to participate in MCC swim as space permits in each gender/age group following MCC member registration.
Non-members must be a sponsored guest of a current MCC Swim Family/MCC Club Member. Non-Members will provide the first, last name of the current MCC Swim Family that will be sponsoring for 2026 swim season. Non-Member registration will be reviewed and accepted once the sponsorship is verified by MCC. (Member-guest sponsorship info to be provided on the registration form)
JELLYFISH SCHEDULE
- The time your Jellyfish lesson is scheduled to swim will be set once swim team practice commenced, and coach evaluations of the competitive swimmers have been completed. Please be on the look out for a questionnaire distributed during late May for schedule requests.
- We will attempt to schedule your jellyfish swimmer at the same time as their older siblings on the competitive swim team, but cannot guarantee this accommodation due to the limited number of time slots. These will be allocated on a first come basis.
- We will try to accommodate friend requests, but these cannot be guaranteed
- At the end of the season, the Jellyfish are invited to the Swim Team Banquet
Coaches will be evaluating your children to make sure they are placed with the most appropriate coach and time slot. They will connect with you directly with any concerns. We appreciate patience as we transition into a new swim team season!
