Please read before our first practice on 5/17!

Hello MCC 2021 Swim Team Families!

We are so excited to start our swim season next Monday, May 17. This email contains info which will help you prepare for the first few weeks of practice and our first swim meet. Please read through this information as it will help you know what to expect!

Please note that all info is on our MCC Swim Team website at mccswim.swimtopia.com. The MCC website is the lifeline between the coordinators, coaches and swim team families. Please use it for swim meet signups, updates and alerts!

Please read this entire email. It has important info about: COVID policy, swim practices, swim meets, swimsuit orders through Swim and Tri, our pool policy at practice, volunteering at swim meets, new family info, spirit wear/swim caps/team t-shirts.

  • COVID policy: We ask that everyone read our COVID policy which addresses social distancing and mask policy. We ask everyone to read it and agree to the policy before attending practice or a swim meet. You can read the COVID policy by clicking here.
  • Social Distancing Reminder: We ask that immediate family members only attend practices and swim meets. This will provide the maximum space on the pool deck to allow social distancing for both the home and visiting team. A guardian/babysitter will be allowed to attend in place of the parent if needed.

Swim Team Practice Times: After school practices begin Monday, May 17th and will end Wednesday, May 26th We will not have practice on Thursday, May 27th or Friday, May 28th due to the Memorial Day party at MCC.

  • Age 5-6 practice from 4:30-5:00 pm
  • Age 7-8 AND 9-10 practice from 5:00-5:45 pm
  • Age 11+ practice from 5:45-6:30 pm
  • The more your swimmer swims, the more they will improve!
  • As always, swim practice is not mandatory.
  • Practice is not canceled for rain, only for thunder or lightning. You will be notified via email blast if there are any cancellations.

PRACTICE ON YOUR FIRST DAY

  • All swimmers: Please check in with the coordinators on your first day of practice (your swimmer's first day only.)
  • See below for team swim suit orders and swim caps
  • Non-Members: If you are a non-member of MCC, bring your $100 deposit check to your swimmer's first day of practice when you check in. We must have this deposit before they can continue to practice. This check is only cashed if the volunteer requirement of 3 shifts this season is not met! (one shift equals one half of a meet.)
  • Members: We will charge your MCC account if you do not meet the minimum 3 shift requirement.
  • Our swim meets are 100% volunteer run! Thank you in advance for your help!

  • NO ONE IS ALLOWED IN THE POOL (shallow end of the pool or baby pool during practices or swim meet unless it is during their individual swim team lesson with Coaches).
  • We know it is very hot for siblings during practice, but this is a safety issue and Marietta Country Club policy!
