Update for 2022: As you may have noticed, the pool deck is undergoing construction due to a renovation.

  • Please note there is limited parking near the pool area and you may need to park near across the driveway in the main lot.
  • Chairs and seating areas are limited due to a temporary construction fence. Please bring your own chairs for seating; you are also welcome to wait in your car during practice.

Swim Team Practice Times: After school practices begin Wednesday, May 11th and will end Thursday, May 26th. We will not have practice on Friday, May 27th or Monday, May 30th due to the Memorial Day party at MCC.

  • Ages 5-6:          4:30-5:00 pm
  • Ages 7-8/9-10:  5:00-5:45 pm
  • Ages 11+:          5:45-6:30 pm
  • The more your swimmer swims, the more they will improve!
  • As always, swim practice is not mandatory.
  • Practice is not canceled for rain, only for thunder or lightning. You will be notified via email blast if there are any cancellations.

PRACTICE ON YOUR FIRST DAY

  • All swimmers: Please check in with the coordinators on your first day of practice (this is only required at your swimmer's first day at practice)
  • See information below for team swimsuit orders and swim caps
  • Non-Members: If you are a non-member of MCC, please bring your $100 deposit check to your swimmer's first day of practice when you check-in. We must have this deposit before they can continue to practice. This check is only cashed if the volunteer requirement of 3 shifts this season is not met! As a reminder, one shift equals one half of a meet.
  • Members: We will charge your MCC account if you do not meet the minimum 3 shift requirement.
  • Our swim meets are fully managed by our volunteers! Thank you in advance for your help!

Morning Practice begins Tuesday, May 31st

  • Age 5-6:           8:30-9:00 am
  • Age 7-8/9-10:   9-9:45 am
  • Age 11+:           9:45-10:30 am
  • Early morning practices are offered at 7:30 a.m.
  • Please let us know if your swimmers need the 7:30 a.m. time slot every day or a certain week where they have a conflict during their routine time (i.e. camp, VBS, etc.)

  • We will try to build the Jellyfish practice schedule based on preferred time slots submitted, however many factors must be considered when making the schedule. Thank you for understanding.

Important Pool Policies and safety reminders:

  • No one is allowed in the pool except for MCC swimmers during their practice times and when they are competing in their specific event at swim meets. This policy includes the shallow end of the pool and the baby pool during practices or swim meets unless directed by a MCC swim coach.
  • We realize that it is very hot for siblings during practice, but this is a safety issue and also a Marietta Country Club policy!
  • Please do not talk to the coaches during practice so that they may remain focused on the swimmers in the pool for both safety and coaching purposes. Please save any discussions for after each practice session.
