2024 Patti Wilder Meet

Good afternoon everyone, the Patti Wilder Meet is a competitive swim meet held at Mountain View Aquatic Center on June 22nd (10 and unders) and June 23rd (11 and up) in which swimmers from across the county can compete. The meet is a prelim/ final meet in which swimmers will compete in the morning and if they place in the top twenty, will earn a chance to swim again in the finals session in the afternoon. Below are some important details about the meet:

1) Each swimmer can compete in up to three individual events and two relays (provided that enough swimmers are available in the age group). Individual events are $7 each and relays are $15 per relay (or $3.75 per person).

2) The 5–6-year-old events will be a timed final and they will only compete in the morning. They also will not compete at the state meet. For the other age groups, placing in the top three will grant the swimmer a chance to compete at the state meet later in the summer.

3) Ribbons will be awarded to swimmers placing in 4th - 10th place and medals will be given for top three.

4) A tentative timeline for each day can be found below:

Session 1: Sat. a.m. - Warm Up 7:30 a.m. - 8:55 a.m., Meet Start: 9:10 a.m.

Session 2: Sat. p.m. - Warm Up 2 hours after a.m. session ends, meet starts 3 hours after

Session 3: Sun. a.m. - Warm Up 7:30 a.m. - 8:55 a.m., Meet Start: 9:10 a.m.

Session 4: Sun. p.m. - Warm Up 2 hours after a.m. session ends, meet starts 3 hours after

If you are interested in competing at the meet, please let me know by Monday the 10th. Please respond with the three individual events (or less) that your swimmer would like to compete in. Once I hear back from everyone, I will have a better idea about the possibility of relays. Let me know if you have any questions!
