Patti Wilder Swim Meet

Good morning everyone, each year the league hosts a swim meet at Mountain View Aquatic Center in which swimmers from all teams can compete against one another. Below are the details for the meet.

  • 10 and unders would compete on Saturday June 21st. This is a prelim/ finals meet so each swimmer would swim in their events in the morning and then the top qualifiers would return in the afternoon to swim again for a chance to earn a medal/ ribbon.
  • 11 and ups would swim on Sunday June 22nd. This is also a prelim/ finals meet.
  • We are given a specific warmup time each day, but warmups could begin as early as 7:30 and the meet is scheduled to start at 9:10 each day. As we get closer to the meet, the league will assign our team a specific time slot for warmups.
  • If a swimmer qualifies for finals, warmups for the afternoon session will begin two hours after the conclusion of the preliminaries.
  • Swimmers can compete in a maximum of three individual races and two relays. The relays will be dependent on the number of swimmers that we have compete in the meet.
  • Individual events are $7.00 per race and the relays are $15.00 per relay or $3.75 per swimmer.

Please let me know by next Monday the 9th if you are interested in swimming and what events your swimmer would like to participate in. This meet is not required but is a good opportunity to introduce swimmers to the world of competitive swimming. Please let me know if you have any questions!
